STATE TRACK Update: 

Corsicana junior hurdler Ja'Shaun Lloyd ran 13.85 in the 110-meter hurdles and claimed his second straight silver medal. 

Lloyd also took silver in the 300-meter hurdles, his second second-place finish. 

The Tigers boys' 4 x 400 team of Keylen Haynes, Ty'Shaun Lloyd, Andre Ibanez, and Ja'Shaun Lloyd finished sixth in the state track meet with a time of 3:21.78.

The Tigers track and field team had an outstanding performance at the regional meet this past weekend, led by the standout efforts of hurdler Ja'Shaun Lloyd.

Lloyd was simply sensational in the hurdle events. He claimed the regional championship in the 110m hurdles with a blistering time of 14.03 seconds. He also punched his ticket to the state meet with a second-place finish in the 300m hurdles, crossing the line in 37.39 seconds.

In addition to Lloyd's individual heroics, the Tigers 4x400m relay team of Keylen Haynes, Ty'Shaun Lloyd, Andre Ibanez, and Ja'Shaun Lloyd also qualified for the state meet with a second-place finish in 3:17.56.

Overall, the Tigers scored 34 team points, which was good for 6th place out of the 38 teams competing at the stacked regional meet. Great job, Tigers!
