Hi!  My name is Jodi Brown and I teach Algebra I.   This is my 4th year at Corsicana High School.  Every year I hear several students say they "hate" math and that they are no good at math.  My goal every year is to convert some of the math "haters" to those who love math and every year I have several that come back to me and tell me they actually like math.
I am married with eight kids.  I say this generally at first for the shock factor - (and it works).  I then tell everyone that I have three children and five "bonus babies".  None of my children are babies anymore since the oldest one is 35 and the youngest is 21.
I graduated from  Texas A & M Commerce in December of 2010 and immediately went to work for Wortham ISD.  I taught in Wortham for the remainder of the school year.  I started teaching at Blooming Grove High School August 2011 and taught there for five years.  I love being a teacher and being able to be around my students every day.  I only wish I had pursued this profession earlier in life.
I am happy to stay after school every day to help my students with any work they may have. If a student needs me in the morning because of any type of extra curricular activity, then I will meet them to help with their work.
