Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students:
Hello and welcome to CBI Life Skills! My name is Kristy Breese and I will be your teacher this year. This will be my third year at Corsicana High School, and I am excited and honored to have this opportunity to work with you.
A little bit about me: I am originally from Southern California and we moved to Texas in 2006. I attended the University of North Texas where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified in grades EC-6, All level special education, and ESL. I have worked with children with special needs in some capacity for the past 28 years. I admire the hard work and determination these students demonstrate as they strive to succeed.
My family: My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 28 years and we have two children. Brian is currently the Functional Academics teacher at Corsicana Middle School. Our daughter will be 29 years old in September and was born with Down syndrome. She has been a blessing from God since the second she was born and I have loved every minute of raising her into the beautiful woman she is today. She currently works at Whataburger on 7th St. in Corsicana. Our son will be 25 years old in September and developed a seizure disorder when he was in the first grade. He has a learning disability and was placed in resource classes since elementary school. He has grown into a nice young man with a great sense of humor and I am very blessed to have watched him grow up. He currently lives on his own and works at Finisar in Allen. Family is very important to us. I can’t wait to meet all of you and hear about your summer adventures!
I am looking forward to all the fun and memories that the upcoming school year will bring! My classroom is set up to promote safety, academic growth, and positive outcomes. I believe every child is a learner and grows at his or her own individual pace. Our classroom will foster that learning environment.
