     The theme of our current unit is Un evento especial (A special event). This chapter is called ¿Cómo te preparas? (How do you get ready?).
    Upon compleUna quinceañera tion of this chapter students will be able to:

    • describe getting ready for a special event
    • talk about daily routines, people, and things
    • express possession
    • understand cultural perspectives on clothing

    Students will also explore:
    • consonants that change their sound

     Our textbook, Auténtico, helps with the development of reading, writing, and speaking skills through the use of strategies, process speaking, and process writing.Country Connections

     In this chapter, students will:
    • read about the Teatro Colón and its programs
    • speak about special events in your community
