Dual credit is offered at CHS through a partnership with Navarro College. Qualified students may take college-level courses and receive both high school and college credit. There is no cost for CHS students to take dual credit classes. Currently, CHS has 315 students enrolled in dual credit courses.
Higher Start is another program started in the fall of 2015 at Corsicana High School for students interested in graduating high school with an Associate’s Degree from Navarro College at the same time. These courses will begin in the 9th grade year and will continue through graduation. Students will complete a minimum of 63 college credit hours. The program is free to the students participating, saving the students and their families as much as $7,500 in tuition and book costs. The graduating class of 2019 has 60 students on track to graduate with an Associate’s Degree.
