Howell appointed to Director of Innovation and Transformation
The Corsicana ISD Board approved Stephanie Howell and the new Director of Innovation and Transformation for CISD. Howell has spent the last 12 years at CISD. Last year, Howell was appointed as the principal at Collins Intermediate School where she led the transition of the 5th and 6th grade students and teachers to the newly formed intermediate campus.
"Mrs. Howell did a tremendous job for the district last year transitioning students, teachers and staff to Collins Intermediate. She has continuously provided leadership to CISD campuses over the last several years. I am looking forward to her new role in central administration as we embark on new programs that will significantly impact students across multiple campuses,” said CISD Superintendent Dr. Diane Frost.
CISD has recently announced a computer science initiative that includes students learning how to write code for computer programming. A computer science immersion curriculum will be introduced this fall at Carroll Elementary and Collins Intermediate School. Howell will assume the lead on this project and as well as others.
