Important Information Regarding Online Distance Learning

  • First off, I want you to know that I have continuously thought of each of you and your families during these crazy and uncertain times. Each of you have been in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope you truly understand how much I love and miss you all!

As you all know, these are complicated and uncertain times for us all, especially when it comes to school and how we will be able to continue your education through the shut down, along with the rest of the year. The district is working tirelessly to make sure you are provided every opportunity and taken care of as well as possible during this time. As of April 6th, we will begin online distance learning through Canvas. You may access Canvas by going to cisd.helloid.com, and using your school login information (the same as you would to login to a school computer). There, you will find the link to Canvas with access to all of your classes and their assignments. For my class, you can expect to watch a short video and complete a quick quiz each week. The assignments will be that Sunday (ex. The assignmens for the week of April 6th through the 10th will be due on Sunday, April 12th.), and are meant to give you easy, yet meaningful educational experiences while we are unable to be together at this time.

Please make sure you are signed up for Remind101 - it is the best and easiest way for you and I to communicate. You may sign up by texting @ushwwhite to 81010. You may also contact me for any reason via email at bwhite@cisd.org. I am here to help you in any way I can!
