    My kids snow pic Fam Pic  Hello, my name is Ericka Janak and this is my 10th year to teach.  I have taught second grade all 10 years and LOVE it!
     
     I graduated from Corsicana High School in 2005 and went to SHSU to study Education. I graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX in December of 2009 with my Bachelors in Science for Early Childhood Education EC-4.
     

     

    My husband Marcus and I got married in May 2012. We have 2 boys and a little girl. Major is 6 and is in 1st grade at Sam Houston. McCoy is 5 and will be starting school next year!

    Color: Purple and Teal but I love COLORS!!!! You can tell by my classroom.

    Work Experience:
    • 1 year in Palestine ISD with 2nd grade.
    • 9 years with Corsicana ISD at Sam Houston in 2nd grade. I have had a chance to teacher Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. This school year I will be teacher English and Math :) 
    Interests:
    • I enjoy spending time with Family & Friends.
    • I also like to craft and SHOP! :) 
    Favorite Colors:
    • Bright colors make me HAPPY!  
    Favorite Smells:
    • Love Fall smells! Fall is my favorite time of the year :) 
    • I also LOVE Bath and Body Works Eucalyptus Spearmint, Black Current Vanilla and Mahogany Teakwood! 
    Favorite Drink:
    • Hot: Not a coffee drinker but I love seasonal drinks. Peppermint or caramel mocha are my favorite. 
    • Cold: Diet DP or sweet tea. I'm very much a water drinker but I treat myself from time to time :)  
    Interesting facts
    • I'm a wife, mom, and teacher of young minds. I'm tired... haha! You're parents, you totally understand me.  
    • I have a pitbull named Ellie, wiener dog named Deuce (Jack Jr.) and micro potbelly pig named Layla.
    • I love to spend my summers at the lake with my family fishing and swimming. 
    • I was born and raised in Corsicana Texas. Just like my parents and their parents and their parents... 
    • I danced, cheered, played soccer and softball my whole life. I cheered in college at Sam Houston State University. Eat 'Em Up Kats! I also worked for NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) for 7 years after High School.  
    • I like to go to the movies when I can.
