• Texas STaR Chart

The Texas STAR Chart (School Technology and Readiness) is a Teacher Tool for Planning and Self-Assessing aligned with the Long-Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2020.

The state mandates that all classroom teachers must complete the Texas STAR Chart online annually. Classroom teachers include any instructional position as well as speech, physical education, any elective teachers, special education teachers and librarians.

The Texas Teacher STaR Chart is an assessment tool developed around the four key areas of the Texas Long Range Plan for Technology: Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation and Development, Leadership Administration and Instructional Support, and Infrastructure for Technology. It is designed to help teachers, campuses, and districts determine their progress toward meeting the goals of the Long-Range Plan for Technology, as well as meeting the goals of the district.
