Welcome to second grade at Sam Houston Dual Language Elementary School. My name is Linda
Harrelson and I am so excited to be a part of your child’s educational experience this year. I will be teaching English Language Arts and Reading and Math.The 2019-2020 school year will be the beginning of my thirty-eighth year
as an educator. I began my teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher and then
went on to teach first grade. I taught fifth grade for 23 years and with
excitement I returned to the primary grades nine years ago to teach
second grade.I believe every child can learn and I have the highest expectations for all
children that enter the classroom. It is my hope that each child will have the
understanding that learning is an ongoing process throughout life that can be
filled with fun, laughter, wonder, and challenges.Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child’s life. I look forward
