• Mrs. Wright

Hello everyone! My name is Angie Wright and I am the Resource English Language Arts and Reading Teacher here at Corsicana Middle School. I am thrilled to work in the school district that I raised my children in and I am so grateful to have, what I believe is, the best job in the world. I have worked with many different age levels and I love coming to work each day. I am excited to work with you and get to know each and every one of you better. Scroll down to learn a little bit more about me.

    My Background

I, myself, attended Texas A&M University. Go Aggies!!! I grew up in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, a small town, and graduated high school there. I moved to Corsicana in 2002, and raised my three boys in Corsicana. In the summer of 2015, I decided to move back to my hometown to be closer to my family, and went to teach at Broken Bow School District. My time there was great, but I found myself missing the amenities of what my adult home (Corsicana) had to offer. Therefore, I applied for a job at CMS and here I am and I feel I am right where I belong!

    My Interests/Hobbies

I'm a self-proclaimed foodie. I love to watch cooking shows, try new recipes, or experience new restaurants. When I'm not reading a good book, I love to do puzzles to have some relaxing time.

    Fun Facts
I am a grandmother of 6 amazing grandkids! I have a phobia of June Bugs and I love all different genres of music.

    Why I became a Teacher

I believe a part of me has always known that I was going to be a teacher. As I went through my academic career I looked back on the values the ideas that had been instilled in me as a kid by my elementary school teachers, and once I realized the impact that one person had had on me, everything clicked. I believe in our future and I also believe that children are our future. I became a teacher in hopes of affecting students the way I was affected when I was young. Providing them with more then just knowledge but a basis and a respect for learning and growth and curiosity that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. I hope to do so and I can't wait to work with each and every one of you!

    My Teaching Philosophy
My beliefs on teaching are short and simple- Everyone Can. I believe that if someone is willing to do something or learn or grow then everyone can accomplish, everyone can succeed, everyone can grow. It is my philosophy that what students are exposed to and develop can have an enormous impact on the rest of their lives and it is my mission to instill in my students the belief that they too can do anything they set their mind to, and with my help I hope to guide them along that path.
