Run a Taco Truck: Business Adventure

Fall Project

 

Project Overview

Design and create a popular food truck business with advertising through technology resources that will produce a profit and compete with the high demand of food truck businesses.

Students will imagine, research, plan, experiment, and design a food truck business that will compete with the high demand of food truck businesses.  Through hands-on activities, experiments, and research students will examine how entrepreneurs create and start a business by using a business start-up, move to creating the menu, and then create their very own food truck. While using real world math applications of decimals, money, area, perimeter, financial literacy, and business concepts, through ongoing research and technology resources, students will create a business plan, website, along with a working model, and a labeled visual design of their working model.

Spring Project

Students will imagine, research, plan, experiment, and design a dream city that will solve the problem of our depleting energy sources.  Through hands-on activities, experiments, and research students will examine how humans modify or adapt to their environments and how cities form around and utilize their natural resources.  Using their ongoing research and technology resources, students will create a tourism proposal for their sustainable dream city, along with a working model, and a labeled visual design of their working model.
