Meet the Gifted and Talented Specialists
Kayla Simmington
My name is Kayla Simmington. I have two kids. I graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been with Corsicana ISD for more than 20 years. I was hired on as an inclusion aide while I finished my student teaching. I taught 3rd grade for five years, 1st grade for six years, and this will be my 7th year as the district elementary Gifted & Talented specialist. Being an educator is one of the greatest responsibilities and I take great pride in teaching and making an impact on every student that enters my classroom. I am so excited and can't wait for a fun year full of learning and new experiences.
