Howell Appointed to Assistant Superintendent of Innovation Technology and Strategic Initiatives

Corsicana, TX – Tuesday, December 7, 2021

Monday, during a regularly scheduled Board meeting, the Board of Trustees unanimously named Stephanie Howell as the new Assistant Superintendent of Technology and Strategic Initiatives. 

"Mrs. Howell's leadership and dedication to CISD continues to demonstrate that she is committed to providing students and staff with high-quality education, the best educational experiences, and resources to help us continue to thrive and grow," said CISD Superintendent Dr. Diane Frost.

Mrs. Howell brings a wealth of knowledge and has 17 years of experience in education. She began her career at Carroll Elementary as a teacher's aide. Later, she was hired to be a teacher at Carroll, where she taught second and third grade. In 2010, she was hired to be the Assistant Principal (AP) at Collins Middle School and then an AP at Corsicana High School. In 2013, she was named Principal of the Sam Houston Dual Language Campus and later served two years as the Principal at Carroll Elementary. In June of 2018, she was appointed Director of Innovation and Transformation. In July of 2019, Howell was named Executive Director of Technology and Innovation.

"I am extremely honored to continue to serve the great educators, students, and parents of Corsicana ISD," said Stephanie Howell. "Throughout my career, I have continued to put students first and worked hard to provide the best educational experiences for CISD students and families."  

The proud Corsicana High School graduate has been married to her husband Stephen for 15 years and has two children, Makayla a student at Texas Woman's University, and Nick a graduate of Texas State Technical College in Waco.
