Corsicana High School Choir recently visited McLennan Community College in Waco where they were treated to a performance by the MCC Chamber Choir and heard from fine arts professors who spoke with students about the various courses and studies for music and theater education.
The students also toured the campus and performed two selections in the Wilbur A. Ball Performing Arts Center.
“This was one of the best choir field trips so far,” said Lyiza Rodriguez, choir student. “It was great to be able to tour a college, listen to their chamber choir sing, and then sing for them. The college students and professors made us feel so special.”

El Coro de la Preparatoria Corsicana visitó recientemente el Colegio Comunitario McLennan en Waco, donde pudieron disfrutar de una presentación del Coro de Cámara de MCC y escucharon a profesores de bellas artes que hablaron con los estudiantes sobre los diversos cursos y estudios para la educación musical y teatral.
Los estudiantes también recorrieron el campus y realizaron dos selecciones en el Centro de Artes Escénicas Wilbur A. Ball.
“Esta fue una de las mejores excursiones del coro hasta ahora”, dijo Lyiza Rodríguez, estudiante de coro. “Fue fantástico poder recorrer una universidad, escuchar cantar a su coro de cámara y luego cantar para ellos. Los estudiantes universitarios y profesores nos hicieron sentir muy especiales”.
