Dear Parents,
Welcome to the wonderful world of second grade! I am looking forward to getting to know your child this year. I look forward to working with you to better their education. Parents play a key role in the success and understanding in their child’s life. Let’s work together to make this year full of success for your child.
We are serving breakfast in the classrooms again this year so it is very important to be in the classroom by 7:30 so that your students have plenty of time to eat before we start our day at 7:50.
I welcome parents to come into the classroom. My only request is that you share your time with all the children, not just your child. Some children will not have the opportunity to see their parents in their classroom and this is an added treat.
Parent-teacher conferences are a must from time to time for the best interest of the child. These can be scheduled from 8:15-9:00 or 3:45-4:00. If you need to schedule a meeting other than these times please let me know so I can work with you. If during the year you ever feel a conference is needed, please feel free to call the office (874-3728), contact me through Class Dojo, or email me at ntackett@cisd.org to make arrangements.
***Please let me know if there are any medical problems, special anxieties, and changing family situations that may be affecting your child’s work or behavior. This will help me be able to provide support and understanding when needed. I am looking forward to working with you to make this year an awesome year for your child.
