Welcome to Kindergarten at Navarro Elementary! This will be my fourth year of teaching kindergarten here at Navarro Elementary. I look forward to learning more about your child this year. I want to start by letting you know a little bit about me.

This will be my 17th year in the field of education and my fourth year at Navarro Elementary. I have taught Spanish, Art, ESL in previous years. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education as well as a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an early childhood specialization.

I have two daughters. My oldest is a sophomore in college and my youngest is in 8th grade this year. We have one inside cat and several outside cats. Your children become my children as we grow to know each other throughout the year and I feel blessed to be a part of their lives.

If you need to contact me, you call the school at (903) 874-1011. We also use Class Dojo for daily communication. You may also get in contact with me through my email at swilson@cisd.org I check your child’s folder every day, so you may send notes as well. Sometimes a note may get lost, so if it is urgent please call or come see me. Once we get you set up on our class dojo ( contacting app) we can message through that too. My conference time will be from 8:55-9:50. Please make an appointment if you would like to come during my conference period. Education is a team effort!
