Corsicana ISD recently became aware that one of our vendors, Instructure, experienced a data security breach connected to their Learning Management System (Canvas). Instructure informed the District that they are currently working with third-party forensic firms to investigate and determine the scope and impact of the incident, but they believe some of the data involved in the security breach included personal information. 

Instructure provided that, at this time, they have found no indication that passwords, dates of birth, government identifiers, or financial information were involved in the data breach. The District is actively working with Instructure to obtain a list of impacted users and a detailed accounting of the specific data assessed and will reach out directly to impacted users with additional information as it becomes available

El Distrito Escolar Independiente de Corsicana (Corsicana ISD) se enteró recientemente de que uno de nuestros proveedores, Instructure, sufrió una vulneración de la seguridad de los datos relacionada con su sistema de gestión del aprendizaje (Canvas). Instructure informó al Distrito que actualmente se encuentra trabajando con empresas forenses externas para investigar y determinar el alcance y el impacto del incidente; no obstante, consideran que parte de los datos involucrados en dicha vulneración de seguridad incluía información personal.

Instructure comunicó que, hasta el momento, no han hallado indicios de que contraseñas, fechas de nacimiento, identificadores gubernamentales o información financiera se hayan visto comprometidos en la vulneración de datos. El Distrito está colaborando activamente con Instructure para obtener una lista de los usuarios afectados, así como un informe detallado de los datos específicos que resultaron expuestos, y se pondrá en contacto directamente con los usuarios afectados para proporcionarles información adicional a medida que esta esté disponible.
