Hi,

My name is Kimberly McGee.  I the special education teacher at Fannin Elementary.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from LeTourneau University. I am married and together my husband and I have seven children and eleven grandchildren.  We are excitedly awaiting the birth of our twelfth grandchild.  It is my desire as an educator to make sure that each student reaches their full potential.  I serve as their guide and facilitator as they search for knowledge. Learning is a lifelong process and I want to give them the tools that they will need to not only succeed in the classroom but succeed in life.  It is therefore my sincere commitment to continue to learn and grow as an educator and keep abreast of changes because the generation in the classroom today is the future leaders of tomorrow.

Children open the mind and the heart.  Children remind us to always hope.  Hope is the gift that we give each other.  I believe in servant leadership.  Leading by example.  Leading through love.  Leading with encouragement, compassion, and empathy.  As I share my passion for learning. Students will be motivated to learn.  As I celebrate and value diversity. Students will celebrate differences.  An environment where children are taught to love and respect themselves, a solid foundation for student success is built.  This will not only have a positive impact on the classroom but also the community.
