Students will explore seasonal weather changes, as well as extreme weather and natural disasters.  Students will examine patterns and use charts and instruments to track changes over time.  They will compare and contrast different kinds of weather and the different seasons.  Their learning will culminate in a “weather report” reporting a simulated extreme weather event.  

Students will learn about different areas of science, types of scientists and the jobs they do. They will use age appropriate science tools while learning about the importance of science safety.   Students will use the scientific method to plan and conduct experiments.  They will collect, record, analyze, interpret and explain appropriate solutions through the lens of a mad scientist.
