    PRE-K ENROLLMENT
    (Child must be age 4 by Sept 1 of the enrollment year)

    Our Pre-Kindergarten classes are taught at Carroll Elementary and Sam Houston Elementary Dual Language campus. There is no charge for Pre-K at Carroll as long as families meet the eligibility criteria. The Dual Language Pre-K at Sam Houston offers a tuition-based option for those families who do not meet the eligibility for free Pre-K. To participate in the free Pre-Kindergarten program, please ensure that your child meets the required state qualifications. 

    Students registered for this campus will be pre-screened for admission in August 2023.

    CISD's elementary campuses are defined by attendance zones, with the exception of the Sam Houston Elementary Dual Language campus. Use our online school zone locator to verify your school of attendance. You may call 903-874-8281 for assistance.


    GATHER YOUR DOCUMENTS 
    You can upload these required documents as part of the online enrollment process. We can also help you complete this task at any campus office.

    • Proof of Residency (utility bill, contract of purchase, or lease of home)
    • Original birth certificate (not a copy)
    • Social Security Card
    • Up-to-date immunization record (Visit this site for immunization information)
    • Driver’s license of parent/guardian

  • FALSIFICATION OF ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTATION
    Under Section 37.10 of the Texas Penal Code (Tampering with Governmental Records), any person who knowingly falsifies information on a form required by the district for enrollment of a student commits an offense that carries monetary as well as possible criminal liability.  That person is liable for the maximum tuition fee the District may charge [see FDA] or the amount the District has budgeted per student as maintenance and operating expense, whichever is greater.The District retains the right to investigate the validity of any documents submitted for enrollment.
