Mrs. Connor

Hello, My name is Emily Connor and I am the Technology Applications teacher here at Bowie Elementary. I grew up in Waxahachie with my school teacher parents and my four siblings. I knew from an early age that I would aspire to being an elementary teacher. During my junior year of high school, I was lucky enough to be apart of a student/work program, where I would go to an elementary school and work part of the time. After graduation, the school I worked for my junior and senior year hired me as a full-time paraprofessional. All through college, I worked full-time as a paraprofessional teaching technology to students in kindergarten through fourth grade. In 2011 I graduated from Texas A&M: Commerce with a degree in Interdiciplinary Studies EC-6th. I have been teaching second and third grade, until now where I have gone back to teaching students how to use the computer. I am starting my second year teaching Technology Applications at Bowie Elementary and I'm enjoying every minute of it. We have a lot of fun working on projects that incorporate both technology and classroom objectives.

I have been married for eleven years to my husband, Matt. We have two beatiful and smart boys, Troy and Jett. My husband is an assistant principal in Palmer, where my son Troy is currently in the third grade. My son, Jett is in pre-k and is enjoying having homework for the first time like his big brother. We enjoy our jobs, friends, and small town life.
