About the Bowie Computer Lab
Bowie students K-4th visit the computer lab once a week for 50 minutes. The first 20 minutes of class is devoted to work on the program Istation Reading. The other 30 minutes is instruction in technology skills and applications tailored to elementary students. They will learn and apply many skills throughout the year such as basic desktop navigation, word processing, digital safety, web browsing, online etiquette and much more. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and fun! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me here at Bowie (903)872-6541 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you decide to work on computer skills while at home, please feel free to work on the following skills:
Remeber, your goal is 25 words per minute! Try to keep your fingers on the home row keys. The more you practice the faster you get! I know you can do it!
Click on skills and play games dealing with the computer and computer skills.
You can type out a story and change the font size and type face. Add a picture for fun!
