• Miss Handley
Hello! My name is Rachel Handley, and I'm so excited to be teaching Deaf Education and ASL 1 at CHS. I received my degree in sign language interpreting 10 years ago and have been an interpreter in various capacities since. Later, I received my teaching degree from Texas A&M-Commerce through the Navarro Partnership here in Corsicana.
But enough of the boring stuff! Outside of teaching, I spend most of my time with my fur family (4 dogs & 2 cats) watching baseball (in the summer) or whatever I'm currently binge-watching on Netflix and Hulu. I enjoy going to movies, reading, working sudoku puzzles, and getting crafty with my friends. I always enjoy getting out of the house to walk the dogs, spend a day at the fair, catch a Rangers game, or take a day trip somewhere new.  I look forward to weekends with my family; playing games and teaching my sweet nephew new words.
I look forward to getting to know each of my students and their families as we get the school year started. If I can answer any questions, please, feel free to call or email me. I will be glad to hear from you anytime. Also, be sure to check out my Resources Page for info on ASL, Deaf News, and other fun and interesting links.
    Go, TIGERS!
